Anyone in the "know" heard anything about Bushnell coming out with a MOA/MOA version of the HDMR?

With the new 4.5-30 version coming out in 2013 at SHOT, wondering if a MOA version of either model could be available?

I really like the scopes, but I am not looking forward to switching over to MIL/MIL.

Thanks!

That would be a great option, Im looking for a MOA/MOA scope with a tree reticle that's not going to break the bank. Right now the only option is a Vortex which I am patiently waiting for my bank account to recover from Christmas before I order. Saving $700 by going with Bushnell would be welcomed...

Re: Bushnell HDMR MOA Scope?

If a MOA DMR Scope Option is also of interest to you, please contact Bushnell and let them know. Apparently they are not getting enough feedback from shooters to warrant this option.

Thanks!

Re: Bushnell HDMR MOA Scope?

It takes a lot of money and a very large production volume to offer an MOA version and a Mil version of the same scope. When I talked to Tom last year he said there were no plans for one. There are not enough people in the market category for this scope who still use MOA. Besides, Mil/Mil is so much easier and so much more popular now that few scope companies who are moving forward with new scopes can justify moving backwards with its features.

I've heard similar things from Vortex when asking about a MOA reticle version of their monocular.

Re: Bushnell HDMR MOA Scope?

Well, if Bushnell is not interested in the MOA market, then I can continue to give my money to the companies that do provide MOA based scopes like Vortex and Nightforce.

"Easy" is relative. When you have been running Customary Measurements for your entire life, there is nothing "easy" about switching to the Metric System. Sure as hell does not make any sense to be switching back and forth between the two.

Don't think that there is any shortage of MOA users, I don't see the Vortex Viper PST Scopes in MOA/MOA sitting on the shelves anymore than I do the MIL/MIL version.

Also consider, outside of the Mil & LE communities, almost all scopes for the other markets like hunting are still MOA based, and that is a significantly larger market.

As such, especially in the broader picture, don't see MOA going anywhere anytime soon.

Worth a try, but I am not going to lose any sleep over it!
