Hi all, old forum lurker returning after a few years away because of family time and work.
Lately I have been looking into long range shooting again as I have been given the opportunity of shooting on a farmer's patch of land. So I am dusting off my gear that has been idle, and noticed an issue with my spotting scope.

It is a Bushnell Tactical Excursion FFP 15-45 that I bought some years ago, and it hasn't really been used at all until now. The optics seem somehow pixelated or gritty (can't find a better explanation) when zooming in, but it is noticeable at lower magnifications aswell. I managed to take a couple of photos with my phone where you can see what I'm talking about. I can't remember if it was this way back when I bought it either. Do you know what this is?

If I recall correctly, those older models had an issue with mold or some such.
They took them off the market for a while then reintroduced them.
I would suggest sending it in, they will likely replace it with a new one. (get authorization first)
