Interested in new glass. Had a Razor in the past... Looking for something new. I have experience with ZCO but strongly looking at Bushnell. Thoughts?

It is,where is it made ?well i have a Zco but i havent had a bushnell.... but their new one is supposed to be the atacr killer so you might want to wait and see
Why does that matter? It is,where is it made ?
Why does that matter?
Because if it’s made in China, it might be a strong indication that it’s not a Atacr killer. Why does that matter?
I mean a Vortex track record is consistent with top shooters.Because certain optics made in certain places have certain track records.
ATACR killer from Bushnell? I guess time will tell.
I mean a Vortex track record is consistent with top shooters.![]()
Why does that matter?
Oh come now, that’s not a realistic comparison. I’d say more like a Ferrari to a Camaro but that’s only because I think Lambo’s are dogsYou’re comparing a lambo to at best a civic type r
I heard its gunna be made in the same factory as ZCO and it will be jUsT aS GoOdIt is,where is it made ?
Because if it’s made in China, it might be a strong indication that it’s not a Atacr killer.
It's definitely not from China.
All I am going to say is this - I let a couple of ZCO shooters look through an XRS3 prototype a while back. Every one of them had a reaction along the lines of "Holy shit."
So the XRS should outperform the ZCO (or NF, for that matter) dollar for dollar?Ive owned a Gen2 xrs (didnt like the g3 reticle), Looked thru a ZCO, owned and currently own a ATACR, and currently own a S&B. I think comparing the ZCO and XRS is like comparing a Corvette and a Camaro, Now if the Gen3 glass is what it is hyped up to be then it will be like comparing a corvette with a zL1 camaro. The ATACR is not all its hyped up to be IMO and for the money its going to be hard to beat the Bushnell.
Dollar for dollar it should out perform the NF IMO. I was about to but a ZCO on my 300 PRC but Im going to hold off and wait to look at the XRS3 first. So the XRS should outperform the ZCO (or NF, for that matter) dollar for dollar?
its not ZCO price either, unfair to compare the twoI know myself I have a hard time downgrading glass and equipment and being happy about it.
Bushy glass is nowhere near ZCO glass.
So the XRS should outperform the ZCO (or NF, for that matter) dollar for dollar?
I don’t care where it’s from. I was just answering what his face as to why it might matter. You can’t say it’s an atacr killer or zco killer, and then when someone ask where is it made say “why does it matter?” Defensive posturing makes me think they are full of shit and in the “it’s just as good” crowd. It's definitely not from China.

I mean, who cares. As long as it performs. It could very well be an atacr killer. Nothing defensive about that.I don’t care where it’s from. There’s no China scopes that are zco or atacr killers.I mean, who cares. As long as it performs. It could very well be an atacr killer. Nothing defensive about that.
It’s not made in China, dingbat. There’s no China scopes that are zco or atacr killers.
Thats the take away.
Never said it (the bushnell) was. No one has. It’s not made in China, dingbat.
The other item to clarify is looking through.....
If you haven't looked through both under the same low light conditions your not seeing the full shine if the ZCO.
I love the atacr platform but when you have them side by side under low light the ZCO is noticeably better.

Don't disagree but there are matches that start early/late and in some shaded areas that create low light needs. How many people are actually using then in low light conditions beyond a cloudy, overcast day? I know some people are hunting with them, but I'd bet the majority of LR shooters will never care about anything beyond a cloudy day for low light.
Not even close, especially being so close in price. I have an ATACR and a S&B PM2, the PM2 is hands down better than the NF. I put the ZCO next to my S&B at a match a couple of months ago and there really wasnt that much difference to make me want to upgrade plus I like my H59 reticle for PRS.How far apart is a ATCAR between a ZCO ? A sales Tech at Scope list says a S& B PM2 is slightly better that an ATCAR
And…exactly why is the Mark 5 applicable in this discussion? Just because it’s also made in Japan??![]()

I don't think they will be close. I have not seen the Bushnell yet but I have done a side by side comparison with the Mark5 and ZCO, not even close.
price point and popularity and most likely very similar performance overall. And…exactly why is the Mark 5 applicable in this discussion? Just because it’s also made in Japan??
I guess that remains to be seen, but then this whole thread is largely conjecture except for the one or two comments from people that have actually been behind the new Bushnell already.price point and popularity and most likely very similar performance overall.
Well I just bought a Demo ATACR 7-35x56mm for $3050 ,that's what my budget allows . Its a significant up grade from Athlon CronusNot even close, especially being so close in price. I saw pictures of a match in northern new Hampshire that shooting location is deep forest that can be dark on a sunny day let alone a cloudy rainey day.
ZCO is expensive, and the separation vs dollars might not be there, but to say they are the same is what I was calling out.
Sure hope I can get an XRS 3 by Sept......probably dreaming..........

Well I also shoot in the 600 and 1000 yd matches . So a significant improvement. Sales Tech at CS Tactical says the glass is better in the ZCO but not by much. plus $4,000 bucks and less magnification then what I have .at that price you are almost at a ZCO lol....but hey, you get to do a side by side very soon and we can throw in a Mark5 too, will be fun

I’m not comparing them at all, just saying once I get used to one level of performance I’m usually unhappy using stuff below that level.its not ZCO price either, unfair to compare the two
