The same problem with the second one. So I called Butler Creek up, and they sent me a new objective cap. Guess what? Same thing as the first two..
Is this what to expect from Butler Creek? I dont care for the Bikini cover that came with the NF scope, but it looks like I may have no choice.
Any ideas on how to get the Butler Creek caps to work?

Sounds like you bought the wrong size Butler Creek Objective Flip Open. A tight fit is good, but there is tight, and there is too tight. When a cover fits too tight the area where the "lid" snaps onto the main portion of the cap stretches out-of-shape and the "lid" no longer fits squarely. The result is often a "lid" likes to pop open.
You need to measure, or re-measure - the O.D. of the objective bell as accurately as possible, then order the closest size I.D. BC Objective that is larger than the measured O.D. of the objective bell. If the closest BC Objective I.D. size is larger than the objective bell's O.D. by more than 1/64", order the closest I.D. size to the measured O.D. of the objective bell.
Advice is sometimes given to heat tight-fitting BCs' in hot water, then stretch them on. While this works to get the covers on, as I mentioned earlier it can also stretch the area where the "lid" snaps onto the main portion of the cap out-of-shape. The result being a lid that likes to pop open. Good luck.
