i have a trash panda suppressor that I had hoped would work with a browning hells canyon in 6.5 creedmoor, the two cherry bomb adaptors that thread into the suppressor are supposed to be 5/8-24 and 1/2-28, the browning website says the rifle has 5/8-24 SR threads

is there an adapter that will work for me?

thanks

The 5/8"x24 cherry bomb should thread right on to the Browning. My friend has one and I'm pretty sure he just put a standard 5/8x24 AAC brake on it.

If that's not the ticket than maybe ask a little more specifically what you need help with.

There are male/female adapters F/S on fleabay.

it seems that my rifle has metric threads (m13x.75), some hell's canyon owners say they have these and received a message from Browning that they are metric, others were told it is 5/8-24

the 5/8-24 cherry bomb adapter is large enough to slide well past the threaded section since the bbl is a much smaller diameter, it is much closer the the size of the 1/2-28 one

i will try to speak with Browning on monday to see what I have

thanks from the input

i agree, especially since i checked their website before I bought it and saw it said 5/8-24..i assume they started metric but changed after negative feedback

if this is true, i am going to ask for a new bbl

You don't need adapters just run the 5/8 Cherry Bomb.

He's probably got this figured out by now, but he can't use the 5/8"x24 because his Browning is metric threaded.

I feel like I would give serious consideration to taking the rifle to a smith and have the old threads parted off and then rethreaded to 5/8"x24. Will be interesting to hear what he ended up doing.

Keep in mind there are multiple versions of the Browning Hell’s Canyon. The version that is suppressor ready (SR) has the 5/8-24 threads for direct threading capability. The other versions of the rifle will have a metric muzzle brake requiring an adapter - most likely M13x1.25 female to 5/8-24 male adapter

Browning also makes a Hell’s Canyon Long Range. It has 5/8-24 threads but the muzzle diameter is really too small . It doesn’t have much of a shoulder. Definitely not enough for the cherry bomb . Browning totally screwed up the situation. The SR version has a sporter barrel that flares at the muzzle to give you a good shoulder.

Agreed. I’m going to try an adapter for mine but I think you are right about not enough of a shoulder. Hope it will seat enough but may have just been a waste of money. Kicking myself for not being a thousand percent sure of what I was buying. Too many versions of the rifle and didn’t pay close enough attention to the product numbers. I should have known better.

Contact Morgan at class3machine to cut and thread 5/8x24 Q/SIG taper spec. If the barrel taper is too thin, may be able to get by with 1/2x28 thread.
