Cancelled my Nucleus order

Just buy a damn Remington adl from Walmart and be done with it.

There’s something to be said for this.

Last summer I bought a cheap R700 5-R 22” 6.5CR barreled action to stick in my chassis, mount my scope to, and start practicing. I was shooting while I researched and decided on other parts. I was able to get my hands on my Nucleus, then ordered a barrel, then found a used barrel to use on the new action while I waited. Barrel arrived and it was incorrectly done and now another new barrel is being made. Over the course of this I attended a training class, a couple of matches, and logged plenty of practice with my scope, chassis, and shooting kit.

This can all be done in in a way that accommodates for errors that can happen with small custom quality manufacturers.

And there's no way to say it's not worth it until you shoot it.

This statement is why shops can continue treating customers like crap and it only encourages them to keep doing it. When you ask yourself why shops do this, it's because consumers have become soft sheep and accept it.

Like no one else is making well built 3/8" (or whatever) MOA guns these days, delivering them on time, and without treating customers poorly. I can only imagine what my grandfather would say about spending thousands of dollars to be treated poorly, get no communication, and have something promised still undelivered months later. I guarantee you the answer would not be "Oh well I'm sure the hassle and poor treatment will be worth it"

I thought that you bought a AMR Nucleus through PVA and ended up waiting forever on it. Originally I remember they sent out a letter saying that they were having problems getting serial numbers and that is what the hold up was but if it is a ARC it already had serial numbers when it got to PVA and they hold up was on the John Hancock rifle not the barreled Nucleus action.

Never "pre-order" ANYTHING. If you're going to wait, wait with your money in your pocket- not in the pocket of someone else. As a customer; giving an interest free loan to a solvent company is needless, giving it to an insolvent company is foolish...
Well I did get the action today and now it’s for sale check the rifle section. And I agree the pre order is a scam!

No wonder Josh hasn’t posted a single thing in months, including when they released the chassis... this is why we can’t have nice things.

I hope you mean that Josh has not posted because he is in the shop working on the backlog. If that is what you ment then I think it is likely that you are correct.

BTW I’m selling this action and Barloc for preorder pricing. I just want the money back!
In your thread in the for sale section you are asking $1,100. I got my three (GB) pricing from ARC (Ted) at $850 for the action and $50 for the barloc. Total was $900 shipped. Did you really pay that much more to get it from PVA? Why? If you really hope to sell it why did you not include the boltface, the action length, and the rail inclination in that thread.

I think if you were selling the Nucleus/Barloc for the $900 most of us paid on our preorders you would not have to look at it for long.

Preorder price vs production....kind of ironic given just a few posts up are people saying no reason for preorders

But in his opening post he claims to have pre-ordered and even provided his order number. Subsequently in the third post of this thread he claims that his order was placed with ARC.

Fuck you people! I paid 1379+120 for the Barloc and got a refund check $445 for the barrel, you do the fucking math asshole. From PVA

I do not doubt you, I just can't understand why you would pay over retail, when a GB was on at a discount. Unless your gender is different than implied by your user name I'll decline the sex.

This is receipt tell me I over paid.

I love that the TL-DR (turned original abbreviation into a smiley face which is cute) of this thread is that the product is neither worth the wait nor the listed retail price, and it’s all the buyer’s fault.

I ordered mine on 7/17 and received it on 11/28.

And I agree ARC could do a little better with the CS. They helped me out every time I have called but I always felt like I was interrupting. Responses by email or FB are non existent.

Still not as bad a Spider Firearms. Paid for a $2,800 50 BMG AR upper in May of 2016 and still getting the run around. He promised a 3 week delivery time as long as I paid in full up front, which I did. It was the machine broke for the first year, then barrel problems the second year and the third year he sent out an email saying he squandered all the money away so no one will get what they ordered. Attorneys sent him a letter and he refused to read it because he said that was in the past and he doesn't live in the past. He said he doesn't give refunds but will be refunding as soon as he gets rich again. Almost three years and still no refund or the upper.
