I ready for another build and I wonder off but always come back to a 6.5wsm. Although I know very little about this round it just interest me. I love the 270wsm and just beleive with the better bc bullets of the 6.5 it would have to be that much better. Somebody comment on this round. I know somebody around here has one. Tell me about it.

I kicked this around using the .30 cal RCM case necking it down to 6.5...or just neck down a .300 Hulk to 7mm shooting 180 or 200 gr. 7mm VLD's...hmm may burn a barrel out after about 1000 rounds with right powder but would perform awesome while it lasted. I'm going to do it just to see....

I've never had a 6.5WSM but my 6.5-284 barrel was spent at 1200 rounds.So plan on stimulating the economy by ordering barrels and having them chambered 3 at a time
.Also keep in mind that for each barrel it might take you 150 rounds just to find the load that's most accurate.
Look at the 7Bat,7-300WSM,284 Shehane.They'll have twice the barrel life.
