Suppressors Carbon Build up On Barrel Crown

Re: Carbon Build up On Barrel Crown

Yes it is normal, you can clean it with GM Top End Engine Cleaner, but bewarned, that stuff will make your hair and teeth fall out. READ THE WARNINGS ON THE BOTTLE. Soak the end of the barrel in it and it will chip off. Beware though not to damage the crown.

Most people just leave it as it does not seem to actually build up on the crowns of my rifles. It appears to chip\flake off and not build up beyond a certain point. That is my experince anyway.

Re: Carbon Build up On Barrel Crown

I found that a quick easy way to get rid of the bulk of it it just take the can off and fire a round or two and it blasts right off there. It will still be dirty but no more excessive build up.

Re: Carbon Build up On Barrel Crown

Just scrape the crown on the concrete a few times. it will come off. lol.

(in case you really don't know-- DON'T scrape your muzzle on the concrete)
