Recommendations for an every day wear brand of cargo pants. I used to wear Wranglers brand from WalMart but they changed the design and the cargo pockets are now useless. Want a loose fit that you can actually move, squat, bend, etc. without binding.

Duluth flex fire hose cargo pants. I just threw them out last week. They lasted 7 years.
they used to have a lifetime warranty on their firehose pants. i guess not anymore? i have my two pair and they are still pretty solid after several years.
i've got 2 pairs of some carhartt model not sure what they are so old can't recall seams still perfect best bang for buck i've had in workwear pants
This^^^^ x10. I work in mine 10hrs a day. Grease, oil, grime, snow, rain , dirt. 7 years ago I bought 5 pair. They are worn everyday but Sunday and I have just started to replace them as crotches have started to wear through.
I do have a couple pair I dont work in. Used to go out with my wife. She hates them, but those 2 pair will probably last me 25 years.
I did dark brown, switching to black. They can be heavy in the summer. I have a couple pairs of their lighter versions for summer but honestly keep going back to the firehose version.
I have heard their warranty is good enough I could send them back and have them replaced, but I am not a douche bag so I haven't tried that. YMMV on that.
I believe it is called 100% satisfaction guarantee now. I only make an order 1 time a year so it may have changed since I looked last.
Yep, these. They wear well, are very comfortable and the pockets are big enough to carry more than you will want to carry.

I was a Scout leader for almost 14 years. I like the Canvas Scout cargo pants. That's all I wear on the weekend. They have 8 pockets, including a small zippered one for more security, for keys, etc. If it gets hot, the legs zip off into shorts.

I met a guy that would wear out is fire hose pants and send them in for replacement. And yes, they would send him a new pair. I won’t do that though. If I pay $60 for a pair of pants that last 7 years, I feel like I got my money ‘s worth. My pants let go around the stress areas of the pockets, FWIW....
I've worn the Duluth Firehose pants with very full pockets and hard usage for many years. I haven't had any issues with the pocket corners having an issue. I had issues with tools eventually wearing through the pockets after lots of hard use.
They have 2 different thicknesses, so pick the one you want. The lighter one is fine in the summer, but the heavy one is pretty much cooler weather only.
I don't have of a problem with stains on them. Dirt hasn't had much of an issue. I haven't done the blood or heavy oil, mostly dirt and food
The material is very much rough canvas, so it doesn't stain much.

just sent some deluth flex back, caught the rear pocket 4th time i wore them getting out of my pickup, same seat i've been getting out of since 2007 when i bought it, has a small piece of frame showing, not even sharp, haven't torn a wrangler or carhart pants i've been wearing. Piss poor chinese product. (what isn't for the most part)To bad, they fit nice. Just got some 5.11 Apex this week, very light material, but u can tell it's tough, teflon in the material for stain & water repellant. Fit is really nice. Regular pockets on the front, plus cargo pockets underneath u hardly know are there. 3rd day wearing them and can see why the great reviews about them. Also bought a pair of the tatical pants, heavier material. Haven't worn them yet, have pockets inside doubled knee material for pads. I've been wearing 'nicer' cargo pants for over 10 years, Carhartt and Dickies mostly, the Carhartt's knees don't last but have generous hand pockets for concealed carry, the Dickies last longer but have smaller pockets. I recently bought Duluth Fire house flex pants and then the heavy fire hose pant and could not be more satisfied. The build quality and design is exceptional. They're expensive (to me) but well worth the money.
Duluth's heavy merino wool socks are also very nice this time of year. Their T-shirts are nice cotton but sizing is too large, I typically wear a Dickies large and I swam in the Duluth large, returned it for a medium and it was still close to 10% larger than the Dickies Large.
Vertx hands down. Indestructible, 2 cell phone or mag pockets inside cargo pockets, 2 zippered stealth pockets and 2 carry knife pockets. Did I say indestructible? I'm very hard on clothing and these last for years.

Another vote for Duluth here. I wear mine out fairly quickly (3ish years or so per pair), but I work outside, ride a motorcycle, etc. Still a pretty good value, though!
I am sold on Duluth. They do as good as anything with stains, but I suppose if you were concerned, you could always spray them down with that scotch guard stuff (they still make that stuff right?).
I prefer the non-flex stuff, it is bombproof. Best pants I ever bought for ruggedness.

All the ones that my local Walmart have the normal cargo pocket on the right and three little good for nothing pockets on the left so small you'd be hard pressed to put a pack of cigarettes in any of them.

Most of mine are the wrangler rip stop from commiemart, will buy online now since I stopped going there. I have 5.11 and Truspec rip stops also, love them over the wranglers but way too expensive to wear working on cars, tractors, etc.

FWIW, I like the 5.11 cargo shorts and own a bunch, but much prefer the Duluth firehose for pants. I tend to be tough on my work pants, and it is no contest.
I think you are talking about the regular fire hose pants. They are tough. I am talking about the Duluthflex fire hose pants. And no, they are not as tough as the regular fire hose ones.

I have had an issue with cheap cargo shorts. When they slide down, I end up tearing the crotch when I squat down.

I bought a pair of the Wrangler Riggs at Menards, and I love them. Extremely comfortable and seem really well made so far.
Duluth FH. Wrangler Riggs. Kuiu Attack pants are the most comfortable and actually hold up really well bit people always ask if im going hunting when im wearing them.
I have mountain khakis. Nice pants but they don’t allow me to move well. And that damn seam across the back side pulls down your drawers. I won’t buy anymore of them.
I’ve been wearing the Propper Kinetic pants for the past few months. I can’t say how long they will last as I just got them last summer, but they have some flex and the cargo pockets will hold a Glock 23. They are a little nicer looking than many of the cargo pants I see, I’ve been wearing them with a short sleeve button up dress shirt for work. I can find them on sale on Amazon from time to time for between $29-$42.

Went to my local Duluth yesterday. 30% off pants. Bought my first 3 pairs of cargos. I am liking them way better than my cheap wranglers or riggs.
