Started the day off right with my groups 4th day in a row of fishing. These guys have booked three years in a row and always caught nice fish but this year was the best by far. The first day I got them into limit catches of nice 25-40lb halibut. Second day we did lingcod and rockfish, the biggest was a 55lb ling. Third day highlight was a 135lb and 180lb halibut with limits of smaller fish. Today we started with king salmon, silver salmon, pinks, and chums. Limited on salmon in 2 hours. Halibut was next so we anchored up and after an hour of catching smalls, the big one hit. After wrapping up all the lines and a 30 minute fight, it came up and took a load of #6 shot from the .410. Six guys with three gaffs had to pull with everything they had to get the 341 lb. fish aboard. It measured 86" long, and is the biggest sport caught halibut in the area for several years. Truly the fish of a lifetime!

The cheeks are 1/2 pound each, like a big hamburger. They will be stuffed with parmesan cheese, garlic, and king crab and grilled according to the client. I am envious of the victory meal!

ShortDraw,
There's an obvious reason your clients come back year after year. Congrats on a great saltwater safari! Thanks for the pics of your adventures. I always enjoy them.

Bro I have been itching to get out. That is awesome! </div></div>
Me too, Mike. I am just wiped every night after 10 hours on the boat. I'm sick of watching other people catch all the fish. I'm pretty well done for the year in two weeks, then it's game on!!! Deer hunting/ load development this evening at Salonie creek range. Maybe you can sneak out for an hour?

Awesome. In a few weeks I'll be fishing for halibut and lings for 3 days on a 32' cat out of Homer. Then from there we go to Valdez for silvers for another 7 days. I can hardly wait and pictures like this don't help much :)

Will you guys stop talking about the cheeks, then when the rest of these lower 48 people come up and fish with us, we don't have to share! Come on, a little commen sence here!

I'll be damned if I'm going to fillet 1000lbs of salmon, halibut, lingcod, rockfish, and pacific cod after fishing for 10 hours.
