Re: central texas range help

I belong to the Austin Rifle Club... I don't know the URL off the top of my head...but there are quite a few ranges in the Central Texas area... I just don't know them all...and they are quite the drive for you... even my club is 45 minutes to the east from me...and there is another about the same distance to the north (that might be closer to you)...and then there is another about 50 miles to the west of me...but again...still far for you...

Re: central texas range help

You probably just moved to the most shooter friendly state in the U.S. There is an abundance of 1000 yards ranges within a few hours drive of you! Unfortunately I just moved from there........... (I didn't have a choice in the matter).

+1 for Tac-pro! I was a member there and there are plenty of friendly shooters that shoot long range that frequently visit there.

Re: central texas range help

check out the Temple gun club. Was $60/yr and you could shoot pretty much any day. The range is occasionally "closed" for competitions. Of course you can shoot in those. You have to attend a monthly meeting and get 2 signatures from members. Usually you can sit at a table and have your signatures within able 5 min.

Good luck.
