In a press conference, the mayor declined to comment and the Gov actually had the audacity to say he hadn’t heard anything about it.

Actually, that video points out why when the likes of Tucker himself and many, many of our member of Congress and even POTUS say we are a democracy I get so freaking annoyed. I like the concept I proposed early (not just because I proposed it). Give them that area of Seattle. Put a wall up. Nobody goes in or out (they'll have to get an embassy for that and be recognized). Then they can live in their utopia forever. If somebody wants out, too bad. Go invent something to get out...all by "their" lonesome. Need healthcare...well, grow some herbs. Need fuel for heat...well, drill and see if you can get some OIL or maybe even some uranium for the soon-to-be-built reactor. Forget what capitalism and western civilization has brought to the world...go do it without that assistance. Once they can do that, then I'll be willing to at least listen to what CHAZ proposes.
We all get it. Floyd was killed needlessly and it is looking like there may have been a personal vendetta. That is NOT a reason to destroy society. It IS a reason to set up meeting with one's congressman (person?) and local governments to address the problem should an individual feel that there is a problem. THAT I FULLY support; that's how it is supposed to work. If one finds that they are not being listened to or getting the action they desire; then that means they themselves should run or find a candidate that will actually get something done for them and support that person to enact the change. THAT is what we do in the USA. It's call representation of the people by the people!!
I think the worst thing Trump could do is anything at all, really. Just let them have their way. The signs that say "you're now leaving the USA"...no shit, it's been that way for decades.

If I were them, I’d be very nervous walking around on armed patrols, especially over the next few days. Trump said if Seattle can’t regain control of its city then he would. Fun parallel factoid - the Maidan started with a group of (thugs) radicals who seized (were allowed) the physical square and began to fortify the position. By the time the position was well established, the crowd (many of whom had real grievances) had continued to build thanks to the media, legitimized the protests by purging the thugs (so now it became 'the people'). Shortly thereafter events were engineered wherein snipers engaged the crowd. Who's shooters? and how exactly that situation came about has always been controversial.
The President should send in the military and while he's at, arrest the mayor and gov and their cabinet for failure to uphold their oaths which I'm sure uses the word impartial in them. We are letting the "good" people that live there down. Again, I use quotes because these people are the same shitmouths that voted these assholes in office. Kinda like you reap what you sow.

The good people of Seattle should take care of it.
Seattle should not get a single dime to fix or correct anything caused by this.
Only where it impacts matters of national sovereignty (not some dumb ass hanging a sign) or security should anyone other than Seattle PD be involved.
