I've been saying that for years to the guys in our side that want to get rid of due process for "terrorists". The definition of a terrorist is subject to change.

So, if any of us got "thought policed" or "red flagged", and on bullshit charges got seized by the gendarmes, and our "arsenal" of 5 collectible Winchester 52 sniper rifles with scopes, and our 10,000 rounds of 22lr match competition ammo, gets seized, and we possess "those books", we get everything in our home seized, computers, laptops, books, and all that, and we end up labelled and in msm for a couple of months. Like we've seen in the past...... somehow, that's not a badge of honor and nothing like our founding fathers ... just sayin...
We probably are all on a list regardless of that. I would be surprised if this site and this sub-forum isn't already monitored....
If they want to play that game, I'm in,... all the way. Should they steer me onto a road not of my choice, I'll try my damn-est to be the best driver they ever pushed onto that bumpy road. The day I have to worry about the thought police is the day I turn in my man card, an take it dry. When the thought police are for real, an is plays out that way, the rule of law is gone, at that point playing nice leaves town never to be seen again. They can take everything I own they can find, that will not stop the game from going forward in my world.
I read Mary Poppins, cliff notes on hog/cow surgery, how to repair a tractor, an Farming prior to enlisting. They force fed me books that taught me how to use TNT an C-4, how to take down electrical grids, the art of the one man war against armor, basics of the one man or team ambush, how to employ indirect fire with a MG, or the lead required for fast or slow movers, plus Contamination of water supplys an many other use full tidbits. I was but a innocent child prior to that training. So now I'm to be worried about the thought police? At my age?

Don't remember all of it. Some stolen gov stuff was sold here, some stuff sold here ended up in the wrong hand in afg. Those two I remember, can't pull out of the bytes exactly who said what that caused a blip, but I remember Frank posting a couple of times he had been spoken with and certain discussions were verboten. And I remember him saying he had no trouble cooperating or providing whatever information asked for.

The small percent of society that is the cause of the outcry and media outrage is quietly going about their business being evil pieces of shit.

Of course we get watched. I'd be damned disappointed with my government if we weren't, along with everything else. After a lifetime in what eventually evolved to become known as 'I/T', it became obvious to me that any expectations of privacy or security on a public net were clearly nothing more than wishful thinking.

Any tool in the wrong hands can be put to wrong uses. If it didn't work, they'd soon lose interest. Who is they? Anyone with the wherewithal to acquire the means. It's not any single entity, its numbers are legion. Again, it's reality, get over it.
I made my mind up long ago to grasp a reasonable understanding of the law, to contain my actions within the law's limitations, and simply get on with my life. My acceptance of the law is optional, I could get prosecuted regardless of my acceptance of the law, and that's not something I'm wild enough to actually try doing. Some things are not worth knowing, some things are not worth trying. I can keep myself busy and entertained just fine without tiptoeing along the borders of legality. Those who do should be by no means surprised when the wolf comes to the door.
In a data driven world, the failures occur where the process attempts to take meaning from the oceans of data. It's a game of probabilities, and by making the effort to be just a little faster than the next gazelle, a little bit more genuinely innocent than the bunch you're running with, one lessens one's exposure to the point where the targeted net becomes visible soon enough to allow one to swim to the side in time to improve one's chances significantly.
It's a numbers game, much like traffic stops. Don't be the fastest car within sight, only use the left lane when it's actually an advantage to do so. Enough of the others will; so enforcement will become saturated from dealing with them.
The problems with this approach concern the instances where enforcement resources are surged, and where enforcement get sloppy. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. But get out of bed we do, and nothing in life is without risk.
In the and, I prefer to stay within the law and take my chances. Things change and with them, so do the odds.

Im' not the least bit concerned. I spent 12 years as a contractor working for many of the alphabet soup agencies. There isn't much they don't know about me. This is one of a handful of places where I can speak my mind with like minded individuals. Even when we don't agree, it is a discourse versus an ad hominem tirade

Thinking about the previous posts and reflecting got me pissed. Not at you guys but at the thought that a group of pretty much law abiding people that just happen to like firearms and the rabbit hole of shit that goes with them, liberty, the basic tenets of patriotism and like talking about those things being monitored as potential threats. Although I assume that's true the concept pisses me off.
Here's why.
Damn near everyone of these freakin nut jobs that's shot up innocent people has telegraphed their intentions. Either through the web, social media or friends and family who in many cases have snitched them out. To zero effect. Hasn't stopped any of them. Admittedly I am not privy to any they might have caught before but Florida, California, Nevada, Connecticut etc still happened. Each had flags beforehand. No stoppie.
What pisses me off is some silly bastard thinks I (and you) are more of a threat that warrants spending time watching us than finding out if Cruz et all are for real. They need some serious time management coaching.
Honor the greatest threat. (It's not me numbnuts)
Quit worrying about legal gun owners, if we were a current threat you'd already know it.
How about delegating the time they're watching people like us to getting off their ass and going out and checking the Reported Threats. Look in their eyes. If they're any kind of law they'll know if they're batshit crazy.

Working 40-50 hours a week isn't an excuse to not prepare. All it takes is talking to like minded people and getting some simple plans put in place.

You'd probably be surprised. People may keep things low key to avoid attracting unwanted attention, but there are all sorts of people wherever you look. I know of some diehard liberals living in my otherwise extremely conservative mountain town, so it's not a stretch to think there's a few patriots left in NJ.
Read the Ross book. Riveting, all 900 pages. A bit of history , might change the way you look at things.
