Night Vision Clip on thermal imaging device

You really want a clip on for this application? I assume this is for hunting too which I would guess maxes out at 60-70 yards tops? Seems like a Halo or Reap thermal scope and a Radius or Raptar range finder would be a better option. Or even one of the Pulsars with an on board range finder. Looks like the drop gets pretty substantial after 40-50 yards. But maybe a clip on is better for your application.

Also hit up Felipe @Eliteuas. He’s shooting about same velocity as you I think and may have some insight.

What’s your budget

I’ve been looking through lots of info on thermals and purchased a hogster R 35. Bering also makes a clip on hogster C. My budget was under 3K for thermal. I’m assuming that would get the job done in crossbow range

That Bering hogster is exactly what I want at a price I was budgeting around. If I ever won the lottery I’ll buy the $24,000 Trijicon

I don't think the Pulsar Krypton FXG50 will be avavilable for a while in the US, but I got mine a few days ago and shot my first steel targets today.

290 meters - KLONG!!!

Schmidt & Bender 3-21 EXOS + Aimpoint ACRO in Spuhr Hunting mount. Pulsar Krypton FXG50 Front-Attachment.
Ruger Precision Rifle .308 Win. GGG ammo, SMK, very accurate.

This gives you an idea of the image quality at closer ranges.

I just ordered the Hogster clip on.

This is my first thermal, although I got to handle some in the military back in the 90's, I've been in research mode myself.

The Hogster is in my budget and I wanted a clip on so I can hopefully use it with several different rifle options and as a hand held.

You need a mount which is $200 additional. I went rail mount as I think it will be more repeatable and I would need a different clip to end of scope mount for each objective diameter, so this one should do it all.

I'm told you can adjust the screen to center in your scope and it can remember 4 different rifles. I dont know if this adjustment also addresses POI shift.

I dont know when it will ship in these crazy times, but will try to answer questions when I get it if I can.
