Colt Ace conversion help

I bought a colt 22 conversion unit for my 1911. I am trying to fit it on to a Springfield frame. When I put it on without the ejector it cycles fine. But when I put the ejector in it has a ton of friction when it cycles.

Any advice?

Without seeing it kind of hard to say. Do you have any machinist blue that you could spray or brush on and see where it’s hanging up? Dykem.

I found it I think. The Springfield ejector is a slightly different (longer) profile than what this was designed for. It forces the 22 ejector out sideways against the slide and also tilts the barrel forward hard. Here is the offending area.
