I have a chance to procure one of these at a low price. I know it was a licensed Colt product put together by Bold Ideas, who later went out of business. I believe this specific rifle was sold out of Cabelas. The one I have access to has some upgrades to grip and stock and comes with a Holosun 503GBU red-dot and Troy folding microsights (as a side point).

Does anyone have experience with this rifle? How is the barrel quality/accuracy etc?

Thanks for the feedback. Specs look good versus the price being asked. Most of the feedback I see online is positive. I am going to pull the trigger.

They were made in Breckinridge Tx just up the road from me. 99% outsourced parts from every manufacturing known to man. Colt on the rifle was solely a license issue. Some had overrun receivers from the Law enforcement line of ARs. I had several of them come in. All shot exceptionally well with various types of match ammo. All made with quality parts.

But, like ARs from every single manufacturer no matter the cost, some times they need a little extra attention. Miss aligned gas blocks, crappy springs, etc. My advise. If you like the set up get it. No better or worst than any of the others out there.

Appreciate the reply. I did pick up the rifle and am pretty happy TBH. The quality is better than I expected for the price.

The forging is good, nice clean lines and good fit between upper and lower receiver. Some wiggle but I have seen worse. Chrome lined "full-size (cough, auto)" BCG. Bolt is MP/HPT stamped, gas key is properly staked...overall pretty good.

Heavy 4150 chromoly with clean shiney bore with no wear, 16in barrell w/ 1:8. Has upgraded furniture with houge overmolded grip and stock. Radian ambi charging handle, Holosun RD and decent Troy micro folded sights.

Overall very pleased with the build quality.

Thanks again for the feedback. Just wanted to follow-up with some details if someone else has a chance to pick one up...for the right price its definitely worth it.
