Since I'm not set-up for reloading and factory ammunition does OK I was wondering if you guys could recommend a reputable company who I could send my bolt-action rifle to for load development?

Also, although I'm not set-up for reloading just yet but someday will be would the ammunition company who does the load development for my bolt-action rifle give me that particular recipe?

Thanks

Re: Companies for Load development.

I believe Copper Creek offers that service. I bought some "load development packs" that had incremental powder weights. Once I figured which shot best, he would send me a pack with varying seating depths...

I've been very happy with Copper Creek in general...

Re: Companies for Load development.

Copper Creek Cartridge Company is who does all of my crazy calibers. I do basic hand loads at home. But when it comes to trimming brass, custom brass, and off the wall calibers.... I call Josh.

+1....I can't speak highly enough about Andrew. Great guy and really good at what he does.

Re: Companies for Load development.

for $500, you can have CorBon do it. That includes load development, proof targets, ballistic calculator print outs, and shipping back to you. Pete Pi and his team did a great job on mine, no complaints here.

Re: Companies for Load development.

Another vote for Andrew @ McCourt Munitions.

Just give him a call, talk to him and I guarantee you will want him to load your ammo. He's a super nice guy and has forgot more about reloading then I'll probably ever know.

Re: Companies for Load development.

I guess I'm kinda a dummy. I knew you could have people make you pet loads. I had NO FREAKING idea I could send an entire stick to someone and have them workup best loads? Am I reading that correctly?

Thanks.</div></div>
No, but I'm seriously considering it for my 300 WSM. Nothing I tried with H4350 produced noteworthy results; however, Southwest Ammo's match rounds shot great, so I know there is something out there my rifle really likes. If I do, I'll let you know how it goes.

Damn.

I have three rifles I'm way behind on working up loads for. And that doesn't even count playing with some different bullet grains.

What's the typical price / turn around in something like that?
