Essential for the hide and soon all things. I am poor at best and cannot fathom most of my machine. So, I have noticed odd noises and have no clue. The speaker will make sounds-some language some just sounds I cannot identify-for at most 2 sec. That's it .WTF? Nothing on the screen. I cannot correlate sounds to anything on screen.Wierd.(I know thats not accepted spelling.) Anybody have this? Guesses?

What you describe sounds like malware is installed and running in the background as a hidden process.
Download MalwareBytes and Microsoft Security Essentials and it should rid you of the problem. Spybot and AVG are also free and work well without choking the system.
I've used each of them for a couple of years and have yet to have a single issue with viruses or malware.
