Night Vision Contemplating Night Vision for critter maintenance

My dad and I are thinking about splitting the cost of a NV attachment for my SPR or Bolt rifle. We would be using this to get rid of beavers and coyotes off the farm. Coyotes aren't that big of a deal, but beavers are a huge problem. Hogs would be on the list too if we had them. Budget constraint is around 3000$. I'm reading up on which generation is what and all but i would like to know of solid brands. I saw no stickies for buying guides or intros or anything of the sort. So far i've come across ATNcorp. Figured the improved version of Gen 2 was as far as my budget would carry me. I'm open to any suggestions/advice.

It would also be good to know your distance you want to see clearly at to engage the critters. Also, budget constraints as well.

Budget is around 3000 give or take a couple of hundred dollars. Optimistically i would love to be able to shoot as far as i can but i know that wont fit the budget. So i would say 300m at most for the budget. More or less looking for weapon attachment like the day/night system i linked to. Rather than replacing my optics. These would be used with a leupold mk4 2.5-8x36mm and a USO SN3 3.2-17x44mm.

I was a former victim of ATN products , customer service and misleading photos that are not representative of what you will see in the field. My opinion is to stay away. I do thank them though. They caused me to read and learn as much as I could soak in my melon.

Look at the Litton M845 , D-740 , D-760 or a PVS-14. Your budget is to low for a QUALITY clip on device.One that will hold zero right out of the box without needing collimation. All these scopes I mentioned will work well for you. You will give up some range and performance with the M845 but it also only runs 2k.

In all honesty 300m is a lot at night. Most of your shots will be well below that. Not saying those ranges have not been achieved. Would be at the outer edge to accurately see and 100% ID your target using night vision.

If you save up a few more bucks you can get a 3rd gen d740 agm .Dont ever pay retail for them .You can usally get them down a good bit if you do some shopping.

So day/night add on systems of decent quality are out of the question? As i said i'm not looking to change my optics off my weapon for a NV optic. Might just have to hold off till i'm out of college and can afford a decent day/night system. These things are some kind of expensive. Hell i thought bolt rifles and optics were expensive this breaches a whole new gap. I mean Gen 1 was developed what some odd 50 years ago and is 2000$ for a decent unit? I guess it's at the disadvantage of being a civilian.

Just use a QD mount like an AD Recon or Larue for your day optic and just switch scopes... youd be amazed at how well they return to zero.

Just remember to mark or note the rail slot you remove from and replace in the same location.

It really is a 50/50 coin toss as to what you get with the POS-22

Run two uppers on a AR platform. Day and night setup. Use a 14 on your melon with an IR laser. The POS-22 from ATN ??? Run far and fast. Your shots will be some over here and some over their and some you have no clue where they went.
