In so far as, they want me to shade my appraisal of the individual and specific events with my appraisal of a group. The false dichotomy of I’m for all or none is flogged so hard, it’s mind numbing. I truly appreciate cops and men that are governed by the constitution and a God-fearing conscience. I have no partiality for, nor bias against cops or blacks, and I won’t abandon that position from rhetoric.

You are treating all government as tyrannical, it is not. Government reflects the people. If the people walk in righteousness, the government will reflect that, and depravity the same. Government is an institution, much like marriage. It can be awesome or awful.

Government is also necessary for peace and prosperity to reign, for men to achieve even a portion of their capabilities. God Himself is committed to the institution of government. Man, governed by God, can govern themselves. The government will revere the people as an extension of their reverence for God. The vast majority of people are decent people, opposite of how you just described yourself. You have a wicked heart and seem to only do right because of threats of violence from the state. The good news for your kind is that if you don’t behave, the gov’ts police will protect you from men who would otherwise rid you of society to make their communities safer for their families.

I'd say reality is that no such "good government" has existed since the years of the Judges in the scriptures.

One of our largest differences is that I argue against what gov’t is while you argue for what gov’t has never been.

That’s dishonest. You know, as well as the rest of us, of many murderers that walk freely. If I take action I go to jail. If I had done to the drunk what that police officer in the video did, even while lawfully performing a citizen’s arrest, I would likely go to prison. Citizens don’t have qualified immunity.

Only the police may enforce the law or even determine the spirit/morality of law. The government puts everyone in prison that is in prison and everyone not in prison is not there because the government doesn’t want them there. The police are the tip of that spear.

And side note: One of the foundational understandings necessary to restore any measure of liberty to our republic is a conviction that man is good. When you say he deserved it and that we all do, you are making certain that your labors, in restoration, are in vain.

Dallas, Texas police Officer Matthew Alan Rushing last week entered a plea of guilty to a single count of lying to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). A federal magistrate judge on Monday appointed an attorney to represent Rushing as he faces sentencing for his crimes.

The investigators received a complaint from a motorist who was slapped with a bogus ticket, and an audit of other citations issued by Officer Rushing revealed at least 38 more bogus tickets were issued in order to meet the Dallas department's "activity goals" under a $1.1 million Selective Training Enforcement Program (STEP) grant funded by NHTSA. The agency will deny funding to departments that fail to issue a predetermined number of tickets.

Officer Rushing, an eleven-year veteran on the force, was under pressure from his superiors to issue more tickets year after year to maintain the federal funding. In this respect, Rushing was a stellar performer, one of the most prolific ticket writers in the department, and he was rewarded with 160 hours of overtime between February and May. This allowed him to significantly increase take-home pay in return for turning in 569 tickets.

Not necessarily. SS is based on the total that got paid in. Here in Cali the police/fire pension is based on an average of 12 months pay. So you work your ass for a year and suddenly your pension goes way up. This is an exerpt from their website

Possible, but anyone keeping track of this incident is going to be skeptical, as there was no transparency by the agency. The chief apologized publicly, a good start, they admitted that the officer that did the breaking is no longer there, but why be vague about it? Was he fired? If you were able to determine he was the one who broke the dirt bags neck, why were there no charges?

Transparency would have went a long way here.
