Spent last week in Sonora Texas doing a few Axis hunts. If it wasn't 100 degrees and humid it was raining and windy. Will not complain at all about the rain though!
We saw quite a few good bucks from the start and we connected with this great hard horned/velvet buck right at dark thirty one evening coming out into a food plot and the next buck was right at high noon.
We saw a single horned Axis buck that must have been 38" long with amazing mass on him. I hope to find his missing antler! Also saw some very wide bucks and a few longer but they gave us the slip. All in all a great time was had by all.
