I didn't have enough room in the title block for "guard".

Is there a power to weight ratio in US for certain jobs??? If so somebody obviously switched power with weight in equation...

"HOUSTON – Criminal charges have not been filed against two private security guards despite cell phone video that shows them firing their guns at a vehicle speeding away from a northwest Houston parking lot, police said.
Police said that criminal charges against them have not been recommended.
The video, shot on September 22nd at a strip mall located at 10510 Northwest Freeway, shows private security guards trying to make patrons leave a restaurant at 1 a.m. Both the customers and the security guards exchanged expletives.
A worker at MX Bar said the men were fighting inside the restaurant and that private security guards hired by the restaurant were just trying to make them leave.
But as one of the vehicles backs out of a parking space it hits another vehicle. On the video you can hear one of the private security guards, identified by Houston police as employees of Worldwide Security and Investigations, ordering the driver to get out of the vehicle. Instead it speeds away and, according to police, both security guards open fire shooting several times as the vehicle races through the parking lot.
No one was injured, but the security guards were reportedly fired from their restaurant assignment the next day.
Houston police confirmed that their officers were called to the scene and that they did take statements from the security guards and from the customers involved. The security guards said they were in fear of their lives as the vehicle sped away and that they believed one of the people in the car was reaching for a gun. But police said the customers who returned to file a police report were reportedly heavily intoxicated and were unable to clearly describe what happened.
Now, a month later, the police investigation is still open, but charges have not been recommended against the security guards.
A representative for Worldwide Security and Investigations could not be reached for comment."

What a load of crap. Just a miserable excuse to avoid the prosecution they deserve. Like shooting a flleing person in the back. They could have easily killed bystanders. Those two belong in jail.

No charges, nothing to see here, move along people.

Re: Crazy Security Cop Shoots At Fleeing Car Video.

When you think about it. They gave those guys those shiny guns. They were giving the security company their moneys worth. Whats the point in having them if they dont get used.
The whole felt in danger thing goes out the window when the went chasing them on foot and shooting all the way out of the parking lot.

Re: Crazy Security Cop Shoots At Fleeing Car Video.

Wow! And they wonder why a police agency will not hire them. It was a simple hit and run and they open fire on the suv leaving. Pathetic and scary at the same time.

Police officers shoot their duty weapons in justified situations and a lot of times everyone wants to lynch them up. Security guards do this and nothing happens. Wow!

What the fuck you expect, the law only requires them two weeks training. Down here security guards get killed working the bars. Texas is only concerned about making bucks off the required licenses the guards have to get every two years. Then they make more money off the company's that also have to have a license making the state even more money. It's all about the money.

Re: Crazy Security Cop Shoots At Fleeing Car Video.

I'm not saying what the SG did was right I'm saying this state only cares about the money. After all if a SG does wrong or dies it's of no concern to the state. Their generating revenue and that's all their concerned about. In this state a SG can carry a gun (with two weeks training) but he/she can't carry cuffs, pepper spray or perform CPR without additional licenses all of which cost a lowly SG additional expenses. And all for a $9.00 an hour job. I've seen ad's for security personal down here that would make superman look like a punk. Ya they advertize for people who they expect to search for, locate and probably disarm a bomb with no training. And ya for $9.00 bucks an hour. WTF?

Re: Crazy Security Cop Shoots At Fleeing Car Video.

The guards worked at the restaurant, the sidewalk and parking lot are not part of the restaurant. There authority should end at the front door of the restaurant. Dumb and dumber. MM
