"Now he swims and plays with Pocho as well as feeding him at the
lake near his home in the lowland tropical town of Sarapiqui."

Re: Crocodile Whisperer

Although its hard to believe, it's very real. I watched a show about this a while back....Discovery or Nat Geo, can't remember.

Here's some Youtube vid action of it. I really hope home-slice doesn't go the way of the Grizzly Man.

Re: Crocodile Whisperer

At some point that dude is gonna get eaten. I really hope not, and I hope it's not captured on film like Grizzly man was, but a wild animal is a wild animal. Even a domestic dog will turn on people if he thinks he can get away with it.

Re: Crocodile Whisperer

Chito recalls:
"That convinced me the crocodile could be tame."

famous last words, i smell a darwin award........

there are few things i subscribe to as far as local legends here in australia, but heres one i think we can all learn form.....

"if you swim with a crocodile, you will be eaten...'

i think that pretty much sums it up from us down here in the land of 30 foot (normal sized) crocs. just ask the scores of tourist who get eaten because they camped too close to croc territory.

good luck to the crazy bastard, ill still give sleeping with a croc in my bed a miss.

jimi

ps, i love that his family was mortified to find him swimming with it in their back yard swamp, but were presumably fine with it sleeping in the house WITH THEM, what.....the.....fuck.....

Re: Crocodile Whisperer

How about Steve Irwin... He took a Sting Ray to the chest... NO ONE would have guessed it'd end like that.

He's clearly happy to have his croc mate so good luck to him.

Re: Crocodile Whisperer

i would think he would make a great suit forget about just the boots and belt what a nice size Gator but therte would be no way in hell that a salt water crock would be that tame they have them in parks here and they actualy stalk there keepers.

Agreed.

Re: Crocodile Whisperer

That is a nice sized Crocodylus acutus. It's the same species as found in South Florida. Not known for being man-eaters, like the Nile and Saltwater Crocs, but certainly not something I would be playing with!
