Suppressors Crux suppressors

I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. I have 2 or 3 at the shop I got in for testing. The overall quality was very poor and performance was also very poor. I would see guys posting that they have one and quality is "up there with the big guys" That just tells me there are a lot of people that have no fucking clue what they are looking at when they look at machined parts.
This is a pretty decent sized market. Make a good product and have good customer support and you can be successful. Make a shitty product and you will get away with it for a little while but it will catch up to you at some point. Marketing is not everything.

The statement from Crux and from online about crack fixes seems to imply they had good support, albeit a clearly shitty product if so many people were sending in cracked suppressor sleeves. Regardless of that fixing and returning a cracked suppressor in 2-4 weeks was completely unheard of, yet Crux was doing it for a while.

Turns out it was unheard of because it's very illegal, and Crux was just replacing cracked sleeves with new ones and copying the serial number. That's a BIG no-no in the eyes of the ATF, you need to either repair the original or create and transfer (with a Form 4) a new item with a new serial. What was happening was too good to be true, and the company (and its customers) is paying the price for it now.

Sound like some pretty big fuck ups. Be interesting to see if it ever gets sorted out, or if the new company just decides it's not worth it and writes the whole venture off.

What a mess.

Really wish the ATF would sit down and see how insane it is to have to start the process over again if a can blows up
