cutting a barrel down

hey guys,
need some more input from you, I currently shoot a 26 inch barreled 22-250 and i am completely happy with how the gun shoots, but the gun is just to long and heavy. im looking at cutting the barrel down to 20 inchs. is there any reason i should look at cutting less off? should i see some loss in accuracy??

No loss in accuracy, but a significant loss in velocity.

Do you reload? If so, you might consider switching to a faster powder to help get a full burn before the bullet exits the shorter barrel.

yes i do reload, not the most gifted/skilled reloader (new to reloading) but i will look at a faster burning powder

Factory barrel I would go no less then 22"

Most of my 22-250's are 22".
