Anyone in or around the Houston area, jump on in and lets talk about getting a range day together. Im still new to the long range shots and would greatly value a good metor or instructor. But either way Im looking for some shooting buddies. If your in the PM me or just post up on here and lets get it set up. Also I am trying to get together a survival camping trip if anyone is up for it. Hope to hear form everyone soon.

There is a group of us that will go out to ASC every other weekend at the 600 yard line. I'll post it up here the day before or a couple of days before we go out. It's usually in the morning before it gets too hot or the mirage gets too bad in the afternoons. Everyone is welcome to join us, the more the better!

I guarantee youll enjoy the morning at 600 yds,nothing compared to Hotwells. We shoot steel,paper,and lay prone,sitting or what ever you want.Hotwells is too limited.

We do need to see more of the 40 guys that are on here that clame Houston as home. Its always alot of fun to put faces with names and fly some lead to 600 yard steel.

I wish I could come sat, I need to shoot some 7.62 with some good shooters around so I can figure out what I'm doing and how to improve, but I have plans for sat morning already. I could do anything Sunday - Tuesday if anyone is up for it though. If not then mabe the following sat, that is if anyone still has any extra ammo.

I think it's going to rain tomorrow anyways. We usually hit it on the weekends since I think most of us work during the weekdays. If I shoot on the weekday, it's usually at Bayou Rifles since it's only a couple of minutes away from my house and they have a longer range then ASC. As for ammo, pretty much everyone reloads and it's all tailored to our individual rifle. I would never shoot anyones reloads in my own rifle. I am pretty sure you are more then welcome to try any of our setup out. Most of us shoot .308s so there should be good information to be had if you have close to the same setup.

Well I just got a M1A a couple months ago and I plan on going to bayou rifle on sudsy for the 1000 yard comp as a spectator. But several of my friends and myself are interested in joining bayou rifle. But I don't reload yet, one of my friends that wants to join up already dose, but I do save %100 of my brass for when I start. Please email me at [email protected] with any info about bayou rifle If the comp dosnt happen this weekend. I am planning on going but don't want to show up if it's canclled.
