ok it's been awhile since the 455 was introduced. there are several threads about the switching the barrels, and many of them concerning barrel switching were when the 455 was new, and not many had the time to tinker with them.
i have emailed CZ with the questions below, but i'm sure that in the intrest of liability, a "true" anwer may not be provided.
so now that there has been time to tinker with them and experience / knowledge has been gained on the 455:
1. (if the cz 455 varmint can be switched out) on the CZ website, the 455 varmint is not offered with a combo .22lr / .17 hmr heavy barrel, can a .17 hmr heavy barrel available seperately? what about a .22mag?
2. if varmint (heavy) barrels are available seperately, will they be able to be fitted into a CZ 455 American action, and a sporter style barrel be fitted into a 455 varmint action?
3. a 455 american combo is only in sporter barrel, and .22lr / .17hmr and not a .22mag barrel, correct?
i know they say on the website that they are available, and need gunsmith fitting, but no price list either, does anyone know of the price of an extra barrel from CZ, and do they actually need a gunsmith fitting (headspace)?
