I'm kicking back watching Tac TV and I'm seeing allot of ads for Daniel Defense firearms. Does anybody have any experience with these rifles? I'm just wondering how they compare to some of the other AR platform maker's rifles...

Re: Daniel Defense(?)

Daniel Defense makes good shit....I'd put them right in there with Colt, Bravo Company, and the likes. Definitely better than RRA, Bushmaster, DPMS, and the fly by night manufactuers.

Re: Daniel Defense(?)

+1 on all of the above. I have personally beaten the crap out of a couple different DD ARs and they just keep coming back for more. By far one of the best bangs for the buck in the off-the-shelf AR market today in terms of quality/craftsmanship, reliability, accuracy, and service.

Re: Daniel Defense(?)

Daniel Defense makes great products, backed by great customer service, and staffed by great employees. I've owned, used, and sold their products as well as had the pleasure of taking a Carbine class with one of their employees.

Wow, thanks for the feedback guys. I don't currently own an AR platform rifle, though in my line of work we're trained on them, using the Colt AR-15's. I'm thinking of maybe investing in one down the road, and because of the feedback here, I'll be looking out for these too.

Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated..

When you get serious about buying, there are several stocking DD dealers that are sponsors here on the Hide (including but not limited to Mile High who posted above). Give them a chance to give you the best price before you buy elsewhere.

Re: Daniel Defense(?)

I've got a DDM4V7. I absolutely love it and got really lucky on the purchasing price. Threw a cheapo EOTech on it and that rifle has been scary accurate and reliable.

Good enough to buy again? If the funds roll aruond I'm going to pick up a DDM4V7 in 6.8. Guess that is the best testament that I can give.

Re: Daniel Defense(?)

Never fired a DD firearm but the Rails are exceptional. I did a lot of research before deciding what to buy and even though they are pricey, it made since to get one. When it comes to Weight, Strength, and Optional accessory placement, there's no equal. If you find a modular and/or carbon fiber handguard that weighs less, it won't once you add a few rail sections.
Also, it looks Bad Ass. And we all know that counts for something.

I like DD but I don't think I'd take it over my Stoner. The SR-15 is in its own league.
