Well I have one of those Encore's that is just such a handy rifle for hunting with an quite accurate for what it is that, now and then when I see a decent deal on a spare barrel I'll pick it up.

Well awhile back I came across at 16.25" 7mm-08 barrel at a good price. So mounted it an ended up putting a Vortex 2-7 on top of it to make a handy lil hunting rifle. WELL took it out to zero it with my TSX load I had developed for it. Got it zero'd and as we were about to leave...

One of those evil vicious groundhogs started stalking us from downrange.

The only other guy on the firing line took a crack with his 223 he had been working with and apparently the claws and fangs of the vicious creature shook the other shooter to the point he missed.
.
As i frantically searched for my ammo i saw the critter adjusting itself on the bank behind the targets. I then saw my dad took advantage of his proximity to the ammo and was stealing the shot.
.
The lil encore barked...the 120tsx struck...and fortunately we were once all safe again...as the hog came a tumbling down the bank.

Basically...got to cap a groundhog after zeroing the lil encore..here's a pic. YES its over 16" but its a fun lil gun and accurate around 3/4" at 100.
