Its that time of the year and hate it. Allergies, everywhere, 2-3 weeks of hell and just annoying. Its been really bad this year like there is a smoky haze in the air. If you live in a area where this isnt a issue I am a bit jealous. Who else battles the devils pixie dust lol. Bright side its the start of life of nature and warm weather is here. Hope every is having a good time and quality range time.

We call it “The Pollening” here in S. central Tejas…

Foolishly spent an hour washing the wife’s truck on Saturday morning. Went to the range for about 2 hours. Came home to find the truck completely covered.

Thankfully we had about 8 hours of steady rain on Sunday.

Moral of the story: I should have stayed at the range longer.
I did same on Saturday and range on sunday. Truck went from red to orange. Then it rained today.

I get pollen allergies in varying strengths every year. I always reach for my trusty Kirkland brand generic Flonase though. When it’s really bad just a couple of huffs and I’m as good as new

Cedar trees started last week.
Takes a little bit to get used to every year.
First glance it looks like smoke from a fire in the river canyon
After 30 years on the VFD, I'm always unconsciously scanning the horizon for smoke from now till first snow next fall. And them damn cedar trees get my attention

Yeah, there’s something about the geography here off the break of the Edwards Plateau, and how the wind currents deflect as it heads up into the real Texas Hill Country where we get all the oak and cedar pollen dumped on us here…plus all the mold and dust out of the Permian Basin too.

Good times.

I have no allergies, but it’s so bad this year I actually went out and bought one of those Navage powered suction Neti Pot thingies. Mixed results.

I started pollen season with bronchitis. It’s like a big fuck you, squared.
Same here.
That was back in february.
Just now getting over another bout of pneumonia/bronchitis.
We had viruses, that morphed into serious respiratory infections.
Is the pollen makingvit worse? Who knows.
Oak pollen is winding down, pecan is starting.
They say....pine isn't what drives folks nuts. Supposedly too large particles. But water oak....definately debilitating.
