So I took my tikka to the range this weekend. Worked up a new load 139gr scenars H4831sc 47.5g. Federal gold medal match primers and lapua brass (second firing)
It was a hot started about 90*. When I left a couple hours later it was pushing 105*
As you can see my velocity as measured from my magneto speed seemed to consistently rise. My first 5 shots had an SD of 8. At the end of my 9 shot string( I dropped the tenth round it rolled somewhere never to be found again) SD had climes to 19. And my ES had doubled.
I'm seeing flattened primers but I've heard FGMM primers were soft. Bolt lift was good. No other tell tell pressure signs.
As you can see the group was solid. This is a nine shot group at 100 standing leaning against the bench. I don't think I could ask for more than that. And this is a stock tikka sporter barrel.
I'll try to get some pics of the primers up latter
