Did Noveske quit making the afghan in a 6.8?

I don't see it on there website anymore and was just curious if they still made that model in the 6.8. The reason I ask is I don't shoot it that much and have been thinking about selling or trading it so I can get a nice bolt gun for the wife. I kind of hate to sell it if I can't get one down the road in case I regret selling it. I found out I have ADD with rifles and find myself wanting something new every few months thanks to this sight lol

I don't think that Noveske is currently manufacturing any model in 68. Don't know if it's permanent or temporary...

+1 on this. They have removed all 6.8 rifles/parts (over the last several months or so) and 7.62 stuff (last year) from their site, but from what I have heard direct from them, production has been "discontinued" for the time being so that they can concentrate on other calibers/projects/etc./etc.

I think it comes down to sales numbers and "giving the people what they want" most which for the time being...is NOT the 6.8. The 7.62 was the same way, but also as a direct result of not being able to get ample Armalite parts (on which the N6 was almost entirely based in terms of major components) in a timely manner to build their rifles, along with increases in demand for the DPMS/KAC pattern rifles. Noveske seems to have put their eggs into the 5.56 and .300 Blackout basket right now, but who knows what the future may hold. With John's tragic and unexpected passing earlier this year, I'm just glad to see everyone plugging along and keeping up with what they've done thus far and continuing to advance the company. Lots of good people up there to carry on John's legacy!

Thanks guys, thought that is what was going on but wanted to make sure. It's a shame about John but it is great to see that the people at Noveske are continuing to build great rifles. Now I guess I have to figure out whether to keep it or not

What would be a fair price to ask for this setup?

Noveske 14.5" afghan with pinned and welded flash hider

Leupold Vari X-III 2.5-8x36

Leupold Mark 2 IMS AR Riflescope Rings Mount

1- 25 round PRI magazine

5-10 round PRI magazines

250 rounds Hornady 120 grain SST ammo

Fair is a relative term as the market is still a little "out-'o-whack" in the aftermath of the recent craze.

Best advice I can give is some I have given many times before and that is to log in to GunBroker and search for ONLY completed auctions over the last few months (60-90 days) and see what comes up that is close to what you have (probably won't be the same optic/mount/etc., but you'll get a good idea on the rifle if nothing else). Also, BARFCOM's equipment exchange for complete rifles might be another place to scout around but searching that place is generally a waste of time unless you are a premium/paid/team member and can do better than the general, 30-day, garbage search engine.

Hell...I'll be generous and start the bidding at $2 and even pay with an almost new $2 bill. ;) (Joking of course...it'll be worth at least 1k times that I'm guesstimating). ;)

Good luck with your search.
