Thinking about picking one up to help solve a hog problem on a local series of adjacent ranches that have been issued a depredation permit due to the scale of the problem. Ranges are relatively short and shooting lanes are relatively open. I'd be interested in real world experience with green LED laser emitters/lights.

thanks.

I don't have any experience with one on hogs, but have used that light extensively on small varmints like armadillos and such. It is mounted on the scope using a ring type mount and lines up with the scope very well. It is really only used when sighting for the kill, hand held lights are used for walking/spotting. I would say shots to 100 are easy, but the green light washes out the image for me when I first flip it on.

I can speak only what has worked for me in North East FL. I tried motion detector activated Elusive Wildlife lights. FORGET IT. Game camera video showed Hogs were way to smart for that trick. Left the area. EXTREMELY SMART ANIMAL. The scent detecting level these guys have is nothing short of unreal. Not sure how much you want to spend. If cost is no option look into Thermal. It is truly the way to go.
