Rifle Scopes Does your Vortex Viper PST turrets NOT bottom out?

I have two different PSTs and sighted them both in per the Vortex directions. The zero stops work fine but it seems like the turrets don't bottom out, making the etched guides useless. Shouldn't the elevation knob's "0" be in line with the "0" on the scope? See below. Is this normal?

If it's bottomed out then you are at one of the limits of the erector travel. If you don't have a 20+ MOA rail on it then you would ideally be around 1/2 way up the scale when sighted in.

I’m not sure of your question. But if you mean the zero horizonal line on the base with the adjustment knob turned to its limit in the down direction, with the windage knob in the center of its travel, the the bottom of the knob should be very close to the line. That is unless the zero stop hardware has been installed which is used to limit down travel so the scope cannot be dialed down much below the shooting zero. If you mean the zero on the knob and the vertical line on the base, the knob is adjustable. Check the instruction manual for details.

I think he means that the rifle has been "zeroed" and he wonders why the turret and/or zero stop doesn't go all the way down to the witness line.
And wasn't that answered by the fact that he has cranked in elevation to his zero and set his zero stop there so yeah....he's not going to bottom out the erector unless he wants to set his zero at erector bottom....which will be no real zero at all, right?

That.

Here’s mine at zero, slight off 0 due to a different ammo, hence why I even have a photo of this

If you were zeroed at say 100yrds and were at the 0 line under the turret, you’d be bottomed out and probably something would be wrong.
