Rifle Scopes Dope calculations??

I know there's a program somewhere that you can find out how many clicks you need for certain distances
Does anyone know where it can be found And what all info I need for the calculations.

I'm shooting a 260 rem
139 gr senar
42 gr h4350
Fed m primer
20 inch barrel
I'm sure there is more I need.

If u have a smartphone, u should consider the shooter app. I paid $10, I think, for my android. It needs info like mv, bullet weight and bc. It will then produce data every 5yds well beyond 1000. Also has windage. Has moa and mil values. Strelok is a free app you could tinker with first. I like shooter better.

Dont take this the wrong way but if you are still saying "clicks" you need to do some reading first or possibly take a class.

The load you stated could shoot very different rifle to rifle. You could get rough numbers out to midrange but past that is is going to be speed dependent. You wont know speed until you shoot distance or use a "good" chrono.

i know it will be a rough est but it will get me in the ball park.
the sniper on our srt said when he went through s school the insctructor printed out one for him and it was dead on out to 600. After that it was just close enough for keep him oin target. Just looking for the same. Thanks.

See how close 3.7 mills (with 100 yard zero)puts you at 600.

200 = .5
300 = 1.3
400 = 2.1
500 = 3.1
600 = 4.1

that is a SWAG.... but should get you close

You're going to need your actual velocity as even two barrels from the same manufacturer can yield a significant enough difference, and your environmental (density altitude). But at least you now have a ballistic calculator...
