Double pouch for 7.62 Magpul pmags?

Just got my new rifle with new mags, but my old blackhawk M14 double mag pouch is too small for pmags. Othervise fits ok, but cant close flap.

Any recommendations, which double mag pouch will clear pmags WITH magazine pull loop?

sinister, have you tried magpuls in those pouches?

got order confirmation mail from company.
asked if magpuls will fit in pockets- they dont know.

woudnt want to buy them just to find out they are useless.

If they are the same as the ones in the photo above, Im betting they dont fit. The rim on the floor plate may cause them to be to fat to stack. You may have to stack them so that they have to be pullout in out in a specific order. Like the AI mags.

How about triad? Too small?
I dont care if pocket is bit tight, as long as I can pull mag out with reasonable force.

Can you show a picture of the ends of the mags so we can see the width of the MP floorplate? I think that is were the pouch fit issues will show.

MSA Paraclete makes some double stacked SCAR pouches that might work.

The SCAR mags are smooth sided aren't they? (as in no lip on the floorplate)

I just tried SR25 and M14 mags in four different products from Ealge.

These are both M4 sized pouches that were designed to hold THREE M4 mags. Turns out that they will also hold TWO M14/SR25 mags. The fit is quite snug and I dont think the Magpuls will fit very well.

This is a pouch that was designed for the SR25 and has a little more room. Might hold the Magpuls with the wide floorplates.

That is another pouch designed for the SR25. It has a stiff divider between the mags that will help hold the Magpuls apart a bit, and the pouches are cut a little larger.

Based on my benchtop comparison, I predict that the SR25 single will be the best fit, followed by the SR25 double. If anyone want to send me some Magpul LR mags I can test my theory.

FWIW I have sent proto-type mag pouchs to both Mike @ O.C. Tactical and Nick (HasgunWilltravel ) @ GRT Gear so hopefully soon we will see more options for custom kit that works.

Hi Steve,

PMAGS will fit both SR-25 (last one) and double (middle one), up or down. I'd recommend floorplate down on the double, as the elastic likes to grab onto the dust cover/feed lip protector when you pull it out (or take off the cover). "Outside" pouch/mag doesn't hold real tight on the single, so grab that mag first....

The double's going on the drop leg panel that I just ordered from you (for multi-gun matches)....

I was on the same search and found their were three contenders:

1) OSOE Rallyman http://www.urbantacticalgearreview.com/i...k.html?start=12 . Great pouch fully height adjustable a little bit bulky on the inside.

2) Emdom CQB for AK/M4. http://prostores2.carrierzone.com/servlet/emdomusa/Detail?no=51 . Probrably your best fit, also adjustable height very tight fit, can use as a pouch or shingle.

3) Blackhawk strike M4/AK pouches. VEry rigid design, not adjustable but solid peice of kit.
