I'm thinking of putting on a RIMFIRE tactical match. There will be a few stages on a typical square range and many stages out in the woods on RUGGED & STEEP terrain.
Targets will be from 50-250 yards, with a 300 yard line tie breaker available.
The woods walk portion will be much like a archery 3d walk through course.
Expect steep uphill/down hill inclined fire scenarios, obscure targets you must find in the forest, hostage scenarios where the bad guy is partially covered by the
no-shoot, pain in the neck shooting positions, wrong handed shooting etc.
50% of the income from match fees will be paid out in prizes.
This match will be GOOD EXERCISE. Be prepared to hike with all your stuff in the back country on steep terrain.
Match fee would be at least $35 depending on how elaborate the match is set up as well as the number of course of fire. But that means bigger prizes won as well.
Feel free to give me ideas & suggestions, but i need a serious show of hands as to who is interested.
Tentative date is 1st week of Feb.
This match is a primer to my Long range shooting class intensive i will be hosting just prior to spring thaw....
