Actually, most people who see it want it and don't care what the price is. They'll sell a car or something. Anyway, for those of you going to Vegas in a couple weeks, come see us in booth 2236 and you can decide for yourself. We are a "low pressure" operation, and you can take it or leave it.

There's a place in the market for products at any price point, and it certainly doesn't hurt to have more options. I can fully understand your feelings on the pricing, and can't argue with the reasoning behind the decision. On the other hand, like any given product the vital quandry is how to find the optimum point on that supply-demand curve to maximize your profits, and a price point somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500 would certainly sell more chassis.
This may not be the appropriate place to discuss the matter, but if the pricing of the Chassis follows that of the riflepacks, it seems reasonable to say that most people will find the actual street prices from their favorite vendors to be much more palatable. Many competing products in the stock/chassis market are essentially being priced and sold as a direct-to-consumer item without any markup built in for retail sales, of those that are not, the margins are typically nonexistent. I think in the long run those who are willing to pay premium prices for premium gear will still buy and try the Model 11 Chassis and be happy with it...we'll just have to wait and see.
