Eliseo RTM Tube Gun in 6.5 X 47 Lapua

Hi All,

I am looking to have this rifle built by Pierce Engineering using their action, Broughton barrel (1 in 8 twist) and a Jewell trigger.

I will use the rifle for long range paper punching, varmint hunting and possible tactical matches.

I will reload my own ammo.

Here is the question. What would you recommend for the chamber dimensions? I don't really want to get involved in neck turning. I'd like to be able to shoot 100 to 140 grain bullets. If this is too big a range, I'd lean towards the lighter weight varmint bullets.

just make it an 8 twist and you can shoot them all. if you can live with the 123 breing your heaviest bullet use teh 8.5 it will probably work better with the lighter bullets.

funny i am currently building a eliseo only in the r5 variation for the 6 dasher. only i will be using benchmark barrel and huber trigger.

As diggler mentioned use the 8 twist barrel. My friend shoots an 8 twist running berger 130 VLD's in his 6.5x47; shoots great. If you don't want a neck turn chamber let Pierce know & they will take care of you. I love my Pierce /Eliseo, they make great sticks!

Just talk to John and tell him where you want to go with the rifle,he will provide the directions.

Pierce already has a no neck turn reamer. They will take care of you and stand behind their work 100%. I have a few rifles from John they are all shooters.
