Looking at a new break for my 300 RUM. I have had good expirences with vias and the muscle break on my 338 edge, but when I was down at SHOT 2011, I got to talk with the rep, or maybe owner, of Elite Iron. He showed us his breaks, and I likd the design but wasn't convinced of its ability to work. I was going to pick one up, but was shocke at the $200 price tag for a muzzle break....

So now onto the question for you guys. Anyone have experience with them? I was skeptical with buying a $200 bipod with the Atlas and was pleasently surprised. I don't want to drop $200 on a muzzle break and hve it be shit..... Pros? Cons?

I'm not familiar with their muzzle breaks, but they (he) demonstrated his 50BMG suppressor at the 10th anniversary of the Small Arms Review a couple of years ago in Vegas (range was in Henderson). I stood directly behind him on the range without hearing protection and was impressed with how well it worked. I would imagine his muzzle break is well done.

They work!! The design makes it appear questionable, but I can assure you that they work.

PM me if you would like details, but I can say my 260 is like a mild 223, a 7 Rem Mag was like a 243 with 50 grain pills, a 300 Win Mag was like a mild 308, what else have I shot them on....Oooh yeah Hunter121 has a similar design on a 300RCM pushing 180gr pills at 3100fps and it is like a 308.

    +1

I have them on both of my TRGs my 300wm is like a mild .308, my .243 is less than a .223. No complaints, they work great! IMO well worth the coin.

I have one of their .308 cans and the mount is a break similar to the max break. I have the mount/break on a gas gun and a bolt gun and both work pretty well. In case anyone is wondering, the BravoSD can is outstanding also. POI shift on my bolt gun is about 1/4 MOA left with no vertical. Very well designed and built.
