He should have asked his student to define "productive societal change," then challenge this woke student and demand she defend it. Not to mention ask why an obvious Marxist is even taking a business class. And why that question has any bearing at all in a business class.

I have understood that Ferninand was just the small pebble that started the mudslide and by that I mean, it would have probably started anyway. The tensions were high and most importantly, what I consider the state of affairs ready for war, the sides have been mostly picked.
It is like any children playing football. No game can start, until you know who is with who; the motion starts when all different groups have found their goals and their enemies opposing those goals..
But I get the main message, which is an advise to refrain from doing possibly provocative actions. I just do not see it as a succesful end-goal, if there is no way to defuse a bomb, what do you do with it? Certainly you should not poke at it.

Good book. Reminds me of "Semper Fi, Mac!" by Henry Berry. I read "SF,M!" in high school. It was a book about war and I almost felt like I was buying porn when I got it at Lauriats. That from a Library teacher telling me my interest in that stuff during grade school was not totally appropriate. "SF,M!" and J. Robert Moskin "The USMC Story" sent me on my path to PI.
Anyway this book is similar to "SF,M!" in that its short personal accounts of the experience. Difference now these guys are in their 90s not their prime as was the case in the earlier book.
As I finished reading last night I was caught by this last thought from Sid Phillips....

But the price paid was pretty large, and much more could have been accomplished with a plan.
There's gonna be backlash, and it's likely to be heavy. We may very well see in the next few months a sweeping set of "reforms" that'll wipe out our last few remaining civil liberties and one and for all turn the immense power of the surveillance state against us in overt ways. It will be hard too heavy of a price to pay for creating a single martyr and getting a few amusing pictures of patriots walking off with lectures and putting feet on Pelosi's desk.

One of my relatives had a grandfather in the Danish resistance, the Germans were only second to the Soviets in pure Evil.
What a lot of folks don't understand is thanks to the horrors that Germany had done to the rest of Europe, a lot of people seriously wanted to extinctify the Germans once and for all, after having had their friends/families/neighbors die in 2 rounds of wars at the hands of the Germans.

Morgan Stanley is also pausing contributions to any member of Congress who didn't vote to certify Biden's win.
The action from the banks followed an earlier announcement from Marriott International Inc., which said it will suspend donations to Republican senators who voted against certifying President-elect Joe Biden, after considering the “destructive events” on Wednesday.
The hotel giant was among the first corporate donors to announce the severing of financial ties with the lawmakers following the Capitol Hill riot by supporters of President Donald Trump. While much of corporate America swiftly condemned the violence, few companies have publicly vowed to cut off financial support to the elected officials that backed Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud. -Bloomberg
"We have taken the destructive events at the Capitol to undermine a legitimate and fair election into consideration and will be pausing political giving from our Political Action Committee to those who voted against certification of the election," said a Marriott spokesperson. Of note, Marriott is close to Utah Senator Mitt Romney - a former board member and frequent critic of President Trump.
Joining the 'contributions cancel campaign' is Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, who told Popular Information that they are suspending all donations to lawmakers who challenged the results of the Electoral College.
Other organizations who stopped short of suspending donations, but will assess future contributions, include AT&T, Ford Motor Co., CVS Health Corp, Wells Fargo and Exxon Mobil Corp.
