Rifle Scopes EOTech 2-dot reticle

I just got a EXPS2 and the Operator Manual shows the center dot zero for both 50 and 200 Yds and the bottom of the circle at 7 Yds. Never used one of these type sites and I'm sure it'll make sense eventually once I run some rounds through it but I just don't see how this can be correct.

zero a 55 grain 5.56 bullet at 50 yds and you wil be about 1.6 inches high at 100 yds dead on again at 200 yds and 7-8 inches low at 300 yds . the reason the bottom of the circle is on at 7 yds is because of the sight heigth over the bore.
