Rifle Scopes ERA TAC Scope Mounts

While looking for a mounting solution for an NF ATACR that is going to be sitting on top of an AR 10, I came across ERA TAC mounts. Does anyone have any experience with these? They look pretty rugged and well built. How do they stack up to the Spuhr mounts?

I have both Tac-Era and Spuhr on my rifles. They both are great mounts and have 0 issues with either. I like the Spuhr over the Tac just because it had a built in bubble level. If they put a bubble in the Tac mount it would be a toss up. Look at the Really Right Stuff mount I think I am going to try one of those next. Good luck with your pick.

Also era-tac mount is much heavier than spuhr.

Thanks. The bubble level was one of the deciding factors for me as well. That and fact that there isn't much info out there (not that I could find anyway) on the ERA TAC mounts. I ended up going with a SPUHR 4616.

I have both of the mounts (ERA TAC and 2 Spuhr 4616). I bought the ERA recently to mount my 5-25 S&B on my AR10. To be honest, the only reason I bought the ERA was that the Spuhr was out of stock at EuroOptic.

I have to say that it is a really nice mount. Makes me wonder why I didn't consider one previously as it holds the optic really well and is $130 cheaper than the Spuhr. At any rate, you will enjoy the Spuhr. The only advice I would offer is that you should use Blue loctite on the ring screws. I used to have a Khales in a Spuhr 4616 on the AR10 and the ring screws had an issue coming loose after a few hundred rounds. Blue loctite solved the problem.

I like the RRS mount and it comes with a leveling (wedge) system like the Spuhr.

That RRS looks really nice. I will definitely check that out as I just got a new NF 7-35 ATACR for my AI AT and haven't decided on a mount yet.

However, on an AR platform, I prefer using a cantilevered design for the extra flexibility it provides.

After the first if the year I will be moving scopes around and will probably try the RRS mount. I am going to all 1 piece mounts getting away from using rings.

I don't know much about the company or how long they've been around but there seems to be a lot of neat products coming from Really Right Stuff. Robust yet very clean looking. Can't wait to hear the reviews.
