This would be mounted on a 338 Edge (15+#) and used between 400 and 1600 yards. My concern focuses on prior failures--in other IORs--from heavier (300 mag and up) calibers with brakes. Did IOR meet and beat this challenge to their otherwise sterling reputation? And, as this would be my first IOR, how's their warranty? Sincere Thanks

I wouldn't get that model.

3.5-18x50 is the best choice right now. 6-24 FFP looks good too but has limited elevation travel. You should also put the Vortex Razor HD 5-20 and Nightforce 5-22 on your list both of them are very sturdy with lots of internal adjustment.

Sexperience with the IOR warranty service? Depending on who's at the other end of the phone that could be some damn good service.

Simply put, that is an older model scope and would not recommend it for your application.

The 12-52x56 Terminator would solve your long range mag needs permanently, but it is expensive.

The 3.5-18x50 or 6-24x56 would be preferred over the 4-28x
