exploding targets, long range

I cant get my tannerite to explode out past 3-400 yards. Are there tricks, better brands, or secret recipes that help. Or, am I pissing in the wind trying.

Before the trolls come out, yes I'm hitting the target, yes the hits are solid, and yes I read and followed the directions with the tannerite.

Get some potassium perchlorate and mix 10% in with the ammonium nitrate before blending in the aluminum powder. The potassium perchlorate will go off at a much lower velocity hit, and will ignite the tannerite.

Be very careful when mixing potassium perchlorate in with the AnAl. It can become overly sensitive and detonate very easily. Good way to be maimed or killed.

wrap it in tin foil, works for us.
