there is people that do better stuff in outer parts of the world
and is intelligent enough to see that biz is needed to have bread on the table...

but there is shame that friends are threated like shit by US law...

Mate you are way out of Line here you and the other poster have come here recently just both realy new on the forum and starting to sling crap at anyone that is giving you an answer you dont like. If you two dont like it find somewhere else to troll. I do not believe either of your comments is constructive there are people trying to be law abiding and if you get the correct permits you can have anything you like within reason. If all you like to do is Bypass the rules it would be great if you BOTH found another site to annoy.

Okay sorry i step on your balls ... i think only that yanks have made it so much harder to exist..you try only to take a plane ride with out given one anal probe.... i dont like breaking law i joust dont like bad law... and the restriction of movement that the lawmaker put on the rest of the world...

Come to the states on a hunting trip. Bring your rifle. Once you're here you add the parts that you want. (that's what you brought over right). Then go home. Fun for all.

I live in Bendigo and I will be more than happy to pay extra to support a local business. I am very happy to have the chance t get my hands on the XLR stock. If you don't want to pay the extra then you don't want it enough...
Wild Bill, what would the wait be on a XLR stock?

An export permit is required for shipping a rifle stock out of the US. I have no problem dealing with customers on a one to one basis. However, It will not be long before you find that getting an export agent to work with you and dealing with the US state department to be a much bigger headache than desired. It may take up to a year or more for you to receive your stock and the cost will probably be much more than expected.

There are components of the chassis where the cost is greater than $100 so while it is possible to send parts internationally, it is not possible to send an entire stock over in parts.

I am very appreciative for companies like Grenfell Armoring Service and others who invest their time and money to help bring my products to you guys. It is actually amazing that they sell the stocks for as little as they do considering what is involved in getting them.

I know it is frustrating having the greater cost but at least you have the option of alternative products.

Anyone know if the laws apply to accessories such as a adjustable but stock like the tubb 4 way?

If you could get a retailer with an export license to do the paperwork to get a stock out of the USA, would it be ok to bring it back to Europe in checked luggage? TSA allows stocks in checked luggage, but would customs etc have a problem with it?

ITAR is what is,but what that is is confusing & confronting to many especially retailers/distributors that we as overseas purchasers wish to buy from.
In my experience being in Australia,there is always a way to get what you want.Whether that's dealing with contacts stateside,small volume/specialist importers or engaging a broker,there's always a way-or very nearly.
My situation,however is a little different-it's not about saving money per se on the cost of goods (by God i'd prefer to save the money if I could) but the complete absence here of the goods i'm after.One basically has to work within the system,rants do nothing constructive-I know because i've been guilty of it once before.
So,for all of those distributors & importers that can help us or go the extra mile to help,I say thankyou.

It's not so much about saving money as getting the product I want instead of buying what I can get.
How many here would want to shoot with a GRS laminated stock or an MDT? I could get an AI chassis, but I'm not a fan of their ergonomics.
Currently I might be able to get a Mcmillan from Germany. They have around 6 months wait, which is ok, but since I'm going to the US next year in May, it would be great if I could get a Manners with nice specs and a LRA bipod, how to proceed with that?
