Heading to AIM to shoot an F-Class 600 yarder tomarrow. Registration starts at 8:00 am. Got my new FTR rifle up and running, ready to try it out. This is a topnotch facility, if you are close enough to check it out it is well worth the trip. It's 190 miles 1 way for me.

I ended up with 2nd for my first 600 yard FTR Match. This Savage rifle I put together shoot pretty darn good. Next month they are having a 1000 yarder and I'll be there as long as the Lord lets me. Anything can happen between now and then, but those are my plans.

May be the place for my first match. It's certainly one of the closest 1,000 yard ranges to me, less than 3 hours I think. Do you just call the AIM number on the website to register? BTW, from what I see on the website it looks like one helluva facility.

You can call and pre-register or register the day of the shoot. I would call and ask a few questions to make sure what the start time is. We started early July 28th to beat the heat. The range is wide open so there will be wind, but a great place to learn. I believe there will be a 600 yarder in Aug. and a 1000 yarder in Sept.

The dates on those shoots are August 25th 800 yard agg and on the 26th is a 600 yard F-Class. September 1st is a 1000 yard F-Class and on the 2nd is a 1000 yard Palma, which F- Classers are welcome to shoot also.
