i am in the market for a new scope.looking at getting a 8-32x .
should i just go ahead and get a nightforce or are there any other good scopes in the $800-$1500 price range.i'm tired of cheap scopes.any scope i get will need to have 1\8" adjustments.

sorry for posting another dumb scope question but trying to decide is making my head hurt.

The Sightron SIII has very comparable glass, great tracking, and 1/8 MOA adjustments. There are several on the classified for a very good price.

Cant speak for all F-Class shooters but it takes good glass to beat mid summer mirage at a match. Lots of guys use and love nightforce.

Not sure why you need 1/8th moa. Most serious F'ers are content with 1/4. Internal adjustment is pretty limited in 1/8th scopes. Most who use 32X are going to 1000 yards.

To shoot 600 many get away with 14X and I'd say you really dont need more than 20X.

make sure the 1/8th scope has at least double your max range comeup plus 5MOA. You can pull a cheat with a 20moa sloped base- for me it means a 77 total, at least 57 in the scope plus the 20 in the base.

Good Luck

I would say most "serious F'ers" are using 1/8 MOA clicks. I believe the NXS has 65 MOA of adjustment and 1/8 MOA clicks available. Pretty good choice, IMHO.
