At the end of the day this debate is about just one thing. The answer is what makes you happy? If you are satisfied shooting a factory gun, out of the box, and that is what makes you happy...stop right there and enjoy your shooting. If you are not happy with what you get from a factory gun, out of the box, then explore what a custom gun has to offer. A custom gun does have more to offer, especially if it comes with an accuracy guarantee. Such a guarantee is not something you can get from any factory gun that I am aware of. Is that guarantee worth the money you pay? That's a question only each individual can answer...

Don't let people convince you that "you need this" Or you suck if you don't have that. That's what marketing is for.
At the end of the day, it's all about enjoying the sport. Me, I'm ok with a factory 700 HB. I can reload for it and make it shoot fine for me. Do I want custom...hell yea, but I'm not going to spend that kind of money.
want to do something fun. Get your factory stick and out shoot the guy with the 3K+ rig. I'll have to admit, its really only fun to do that to the douche bag that has the gun for show.
