I have a 15" Faxon handguard on the 'my version of the WWSD' rifle I built a few years ago. Still going strong.Have a Faxon 17" that I'm putting up for sale this weekend. No complaints, fits the hand perfect and looks slick. Just going to something shorter.

Edit to add, that is why I'm selling the Faxon, is I went with the 10" Smoke as I have one of their buttstocks.

I have a few Coda hand guards, and I really like how they feel in hand. And look, though I get how that *should* rank second. They've not seen any hard use, so I can't speak to how durable they are. The web has some people saying "very robust," and other saying "not as good as ___."
I also have a Faxon CF hand guard and it's fine. The tube itself feels similar to the Coda ones and the attachment system seems a basic clamp--this is neither especially good or bad...
Finally, I have a gen 2 Lancer, and while the 3 piece systems is more involved, I like it. Its on a whiz-bang .22LR uppers so its get used a lot but not used hard.
I prefer the look of the CF weave on the above-mentioned options vs the Smokes Composite, which is the only reason Ive not tried one.

I'll chime back in since I've been running two smokes and the Coda long-term. The CODA, IMO, is extremely solid/rigid, dare I say bomb proof. I think the Smoke, while it looks cool, isn't as strong in that regard and will likely flex more on longer setups. On SBR stuff, super slick, love em, but the CODA is, ultimately, a bit more precise and my recommendation for bipod work.
I still think the CODA mounting system is far superior although the tiny screws they use to mount the hand guard to the trunnion are stupid small and should be larger. I use the CODA on a 16" "precision" upper and you can really lean into the gun while it's on a tripod with a stop and I don't get any perceived flexing. For the SBR stuff, Smoke's great. Both are light as a feather and when I had a lightweight profile on the 16" gun, it was sub 5 pounds. Haven't weighed it with the new barrel which is an HBAR profile, fluted.

I'm an enabler! But yes, the old version fits. Not sure about the new Flow 7.62 which launched on Monday. I have one on order but won't see it for a good seven months I suppose.
Under the auspices of "if one is good and two is better than more is more...", I have one on order too.
More relevant to the OP, how does the diameter feel in hand? I find the Coda to be just about perfect (usually with a vertical grip) for my hands.

I like either. Being round, the Smoke has a different feel to it from the CODA obviously but you can still grip it just fine. I'd almost dare to say the round hand guard is a bit more ergonomic. I do more running/gunning with the Smoke since it's on an SBR and more tabletop stuff with the CODA.
My previous 16" barrel with the CODA was very light and the entire package, without accessories (scope, mag) was well under 5 pounds using fairly mundane components. All of the weight was lost with the BCG, buffer, barrel and the hand guard. Was pretty fun in that configuration but still not as agile as an SBR when hanging a can off the end.
The CODA does have more potential mounting points. I've also found the Smoke sometimes needs a bit of a tweak to the hand guard mounting holes to get everything to line up. Nothing too bad though and it just depends on where you torque your barrel nut. On the CODA, it's infinitely adjustable so alignment can always be made spot-on.

Unfortunately the new Flow 7.62 is 1.8" OD. I can't find any hand guard that is currently available on the market that will accommodate a 1.8" suppressor. Maybe some of the guys in this thread have ideas...
Aero says their Enhanced handguard is 1.72 ID and 1.78 OD, which obviously isn't enough. Those are among the larger hand guards Ive tried and I find that unergonomic for my support hand.
